Y. is a 16-year-old, outgoing, and friendly girl with a big heart for helping others. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her brothers, and is close with her parents, who have supported her every step of the way. Y. loves English and stays active by going to the gym three times a week. Most Saturdays she volunteers at her church by looking after with the children. She’s excited to meet her host family and experience new cultures while sharing her positive energy and kindness.

"I've chosen this country because I wanted to experience the life outside Europe, and see other wildlife, that doesn't exist here in Italy. I wanted to visit another continent. I want to explore other cultures, I've met a lot of people who had this experience and all of them said that it changes you and you start to be independent, mature and responsible. Another reason why I want to study abroad is that I want to try other cuisines."
